“LETS’ JOIN HANDS FOR EDUCATIONAL REVOLUTION.” – NISHIT VYAS (Gen. Sec. Guj. St. Congress)
Today, by announcing the proposed reforms, the congress – led Central Govt. has embarked on a historic journey to revolutionize the Indian Education system. It aims at omitting all the differences which exist in the quality of education in different parts of the country. Its objective is to justify its Citizens in the field of education. Surely , it is a path- breaking decision which gives hopes to millions of Indians students of a just and fair system and of quality education.
The decision of having on single board across the country is beneficial to average student as there would be no difference as far as the syllable is concerned. Especially, the meritorious students will benefit as they will all be able in complete at the national level without being restricted by the “Board” which they study in, as it would be uniform all over India.
Today, the Congress-led central Govt. has a mission one which is for the welfare of the millions of students studying in this vast nation. The State Govt. Should put a side there personal views (interests) and differences, and join in this ambitious project for the betterment of India Education System. This is an opportunity for the opposition to do something positive for the people (special youth) they couldn’t grab it at the time of the Nuclear Deal but they have another chance. They should be positive For the betterment of the youth of the country with the Congress. This after the Tele communication. Revolution is aiming towards the Education Revolution. Jai ho to the bright future of our country and its students!……..
I request the youth of the Nation to share their views on this blog for the same ………………………

Dear Nitishbhai,
First of all congratulations to you and congress workers all over the country for bringing back the UPA alliance with a historic win in the 2009-lokshabha elections. I truely believe in the Single Boad examination because its a stree free process and where all students would be treated as equally which our Constitution provides too. Also another major step of abolishing bodies like MCI, UGC, NCTE, AICTE who have became the machiniers of RBI giving nuemorus permissions for opening of new colleges, deemed universities and many more a great move by Hon’ble Kapil Sibal HRD Minister. One request more we must also talk about following subjects too likewise National Identity Cards, Rural Development, National Rural Health Mission, NERCG.
Hi
I think Education Reform is an excellent step by new UPA government. Education should be tension free. In India as we see child is under tension when he gets just 2 years old. Its ridiculous.
We sholud also create awareness amongs parents. Every parents wants there child become like Sachin Tendulkar or Dr. MMS, which generate lot of pressure on child as well as parents. Let child develop himself upto certain age, as government and all developed countries decided 5 years.
There is wide difference between the taste of fruits naturally rippened fruits (Natural growth) and and fruits rippened using pesticides (Early growth).
Wish u all the success and support from us.
What is wrong with today’s education and society ?
1.
Admission to professional courses such as engineering /Medical is based on marks obtained in the board exam. This problem to some extent is getting solved by splitting 60 % / 40 % basis ( Borad exam and GUJCET ) Here also problem is that GUJCET question papers are completely based on text books.
GUJCET exams should be made more creative and practical knowledge oriented.
2.
All the exams are marks oriented not knowledge /communication skill or ethical sense oriented .
3.
Job security of teachers is based on seniority or influence, not on performance. All India basis test for teachers should be enforced for entrance as well as promotion.
4.
For better performance of the teachers and the result they bring equal wages policy should be adopted based on their work and performance.
5.
Government Employees and non qualified persons are engaged in tuitions. Some effective action in this regard should be taken.
6.
Today Higher Education is based more on theoretical rather than practical knowledge. More practical knowledge should be given priority.
7.
To reduce school bag burden I have a small suggestion to NCERT ( who make text books):
Today each subject contains approx 20 chapters ( 100 pages) and each work book/note book contains approx 200 pages. So a student having 7 subjects has to carry 300 pages x 7 = 2100 pages load in a school bag every day.
The suggestion is to divide each text book in to 5 or 6 parts with work book/note book pages along with text book. So the load will be reduced to , by 5 or 6 times.
The sad thing today is that students are not called “VIDHYARTHI “ but “ PARIKSHARTHI”
